Thoughts from Matthew Gollat....

As we near the end of the coldest months of winter, I think nothing signals that spring is nearby better than the annual Prospectors and Developers Convention (PDAC). The excitement that surrounds these four days of learning of new discoveries and the next projects to be developed, overprinted with late nights speculating the next M&A transaction and the state of the financial markets for years to come is invigorating.

This year, Premier has the privilege of hosting a Core Shack and a Booth at the Investors Exchange, giving ample opportunity to discuss all catalysts that the Company has for the year to come.

Mining at South Arturo Phase 2 in 2016 marks Premier’s initial gold production after nearly 10 years exploring and developing its portfolio of assets. If you haven’t had a chance to speak with someone at the Company about this, you will find that their excitement is hard to conceal. Further work is being completed on evaluating Phases 1 and 3 as well as the underground opportunity under the Phase 2 pit.

At Trans-Canada, the Hardrock Feasibility study that is expected to be out at mid-year. The Greenstone Gold Mines team has been doing an exceptional job managing this process on behalf of both Premier and our partner Centerra Gold Inc. On the exploration front, the team at Greenstone is busy compiling historic data to create a comprehensive regional exploration model and have begun to identify potential targets for future exploration.

In Red Lake, 2016 will be an active year of exploration with drilling active at both projects. At Rahill-Bonanza, the focus will be on following up last year’s success drilling around the Fold Target. The Hasaga Property will complete more than 50,000 metres of drilling this year and coupled with some 60,000 metres drilled last year will see its first mineral resource estimate completed. This is the property being highlighted at our PDAC Core Shack this year and Jim Rogers, our Project Manager, along with other company representatives will be available to discuss the details of Premier’s largest exploration program in 2016.

Finally, at McCoy-Cove the Company will be focusing on several initiatives including drilling around the UPC target at McCoy, exploration in and around the Cove pit as well as following-up on recent success between the two pits at the Deep IP target

In addition to the Core Shack and Investors Exchange Booth, Premier representatives will be giving two presentations. Firstly, Stephen McGibbon, Executive VP Corporate & Project Development, will be giving a brief Company update at 2:45pm on Sunday March 6th, Ontario Pavilion – Booth #637. Also, Chad Peters, our Exploration Manager in Nevada, will be giving a talk entitled “Mineralization and Exploration Activity at the McCoy-Cove Project, Battle Mountain, NV” at 4:05pm, Monday March 7th, in Room 714.

Besides the day time events, Premier will be co-sponsoring, along with Geotech and Agnico-Eagle Mines, an evening at Steamwhistle Brewing with a live performance by “The Retros”. If you’re attending the PDAC and are in the neighbourhood we welcome you to join us after 6:00pm at their 255 Bremner Blvd location at Roundhouse Park after 6:00pm.

We certainly have a busy and exciting week ahead of us and hope to see as many of our current and potential shareholders as possible over the four days. Please don’t hesitate to stop by and chat with any of our Company representatives.
