Exploration Manager
Tim Twomey is Exploration Manager for Premier Gold Mines Limited. Currently, Tim's efforts will be focused primarily within Canada's Superior Subprovince.

Tim is a professional geologist with over 25 years of exploration, production and management experience. He brings to Premier a "golden" track record that includes playing a key role in Goldcorp's "High-Grade Zone" discovery, development and production at Red Lake. The High-Grade Zone is one of the most important gold discoveries made in the last 20 years. It is an unparalleled mining success and regarded as the highest grade gold mine in the world. More recently, and until joining Premier, Tim was Senior Exploration Geologist with Goldcorp's Regional Exploration Team in the Red Lake Area.

Prior to working with Goldcorp, Tim explored for base and precious metals in mines and bush camps of Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan, including the Thunder Bay and Kirkland Lake regions. He graduated from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, in 1983 with an Honours B.Sc. degree in Geology.

In coming to Premier, Tim Twomey states that, "I've chosen to become part of a management team whose vision to create new mineral wealth and prosperity for all stakeholders is consistent with mine. MATT LONG, P.Geo
Position:Red Lake District Project Manager


Matt Long is Premier's Project Manager for the Red Lake district area, Ontario. He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, B. Sc. Honours Geology, and has worked in the mining and exploration field for over 10 years working in Northern Manitoba, the High Artic and North-western Ontario. Mr. Long started working for Wolfden Resources Inc. in 2005 and up to the split where by he joined the team at Premier. Prior to working with Wolfden, he served as Mine Geologist at the Campbell Gold Mine in Red Lake (Placer Dome), responsible for all production geology of an assigned area of the mine. During his final two years, Matt was responsible for the deepest area of the mine, the 3900 level, which included the DC zone ramp and all associated zones on that level. Mr. Longs is a member of good standing with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Manitoba and the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario.
 
KATIE LUCAS, P.Geo
Position:District Project Manager


Katie Lucas is the Project Manager for the Geraldton district area, Ontario. Katie graduated from Lakehead University with an Honours BSc. In Geology, and from Queen's University with a M.Sc. in Geology. Ms. Lucas began her career with Sabina Resources and Wolfden Resources in Red Lake, Ontario. In 2006, she accepted a position with Northgate Minerals at their Kemess porphyry copper-gold mine in northern British Columbia. Katie returned to northeastern Ontario at Northgate's Young-Davidson gold mine, which led her back to northwestern Ontario with Premier Gold Mines. Ms. Lucas is a member in good standing with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario.
 
BENJAMIN CLELAND
Position:PQ-North Project


Ben Cleland graduated with an Honours Bachelors of Science degree in Earth Science from Carleton University in 2008. His honours thesis research focused on the ore genesis and geochemistry at the Howards Pass SEDEX deposit of the Selwyn Basin, Yukon.

He has obtained mineral exploration experience in both Northern Ontario greenstone belts and Central Yukon SEDEX deposits. Experience including large and small scale mapping, sampling (soil and grab) as well as advanced drill program core logging and sampling.

Ben began working with Premier Gold in September of 2008.
